Demonstration & Trial Class (D&T)
After application review and interview, we have chosen 60 qualified beneficiaries out of 106 applicants to join our Demonstration & Trial Class. Children will be taught about different instruments through demonstration and trial by our teachers. Through different activities, the teachers will assess the capabilities and potential of each child individually. Based on the assessment, the child will learn the instrument that he/she is most interested and talented in.
Instrumental Class
After the D & T classes, there are 34 students selected to join our free instrumental classes. They will receive training in playing respective music instrument taught by our professional teachers graduated from different professional music institutions once a week.
We worked with Miss Jody Lee, social worker from Healthy Seed, in organizing 'Hope 20 Parenting Course' specially for families of 'Music Cradle'.
To let more children share the joy of music, some children with particular interest in singing can join our choir after audition. Some children who do not fare well in the audition of instrumental class have also been arranged to join the choir training to better prepare them for instrumental classes at a later stage. Up till now, we have more than 70 children in our Junior and Senior Choirs. 3 of our members with extraordinary performances were chosen to be the actors in 'Hansel & Gretel' Lunch Extravaganza, performed at the lsland Shangri-La.
Music Forest Workshop
With a group of professional musicians and enthusiastic volunteers, parents and children can even try the instruments of the 4 major music families at the "Music Forest Workshop".
